The title for this article is control. Control is a very loaded, powerful word. Some people view control as a bad thing, as a manipulative tool. What connotations form for you, when you think of control? Control means the ability to determine the fate of something. It is neutral, neither good nor bad.
So what has control to do with your Journey To Health? Some pertinent questions may help here.
1. Who’s Journey To Health is it?
2. Who is going to arrive at the destination?
3. How are you going to feel when you attain your goal of excellent health and well-being?
4. When you achieve your goal and look back along Your Journey/Path, Who travelled that path?
5. What is the main quality you will you have when you have your goal? Be there and feel it.
6. Who is going to be in control of the Journey? Who is going to control what you achieve? Who has control over what you can achieve? Who has to be in control of your life in order to achieve your goals? If not you, who?
7. What has control to do with it?
8. What will you get without control?
Control is one of the many keys on the path of your Journey To Health. It is absolutely essential to take full, total, complete and absolute control of your destiny! For some it will be difficult, for some they may have it but not know it, for some it will be the major part of the journey.
Self control of your life/destiny/journey etc is what everybody is searching for. Self control is your natural right, it is your heritage. With control comes inner calm and happiness.
We can fear control and we can have negative emotions about it. This stems from not having control as a youngster and being aware of the injustice, of others so called having control over us. We understand at some level the injustice of one person attempting to control another, this injustice is about losing control. Control is necessary for well-being. It is impossible to have well-being without control. When you have control, you will not allow others to control you, nor will you want to control others. Control is a major component of self reliance and self determination and the more of these you have, then the less vulnerability you have.
Control is an internal resource.
Paying the price
You have embarked on a Journey To Health. You have declared that you want, desire and deserve to be healthy, happy and to live wonderfully.
Whatever you want in life – There is a cost. (it is the law of ‘For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction’).
Are you willing to pay the cost, if so, you will get the result.
Are you unwilling to pay the cost, if so, you will stay the same and get that result.
What are the costs?
Your goal is a result of particular causes. Just like ill health is a result of particular causes.
The shortest path to any result is continuous and constant effort towards that goal.
How much of your time is spent on the causes of good health?
You have the power and you have the means.
You must banish from your mind, the nonsense that you are limited and that you can’t do it.
Accept what you want – your goal. Accept it!
Be different. If not, you will remain the same.
Think of areas in your life you can change.
Attempt things that are outside your present capabilities.
Your life must of necessity change, because when you are healthy you will live differently.
So live differently Now!
Set aside times to meditate every day. Commit to meditating for the next five years.
Your beliefs are just thoughts that you choose to accept as facts.
Nothing is true. There are no facts. Thinking makes it so.
Your beliefs dictate your life.
Your beliefs have contributed to your illness.
Why keep them?
Wipe the slate clean and write your own beliefs.
Better still believe in everything and disbelieve everything.
Have the courage to do what needs to be done.
Break out of the shell that you are in.
Dare to be free!
Free of What?
Each day, do more.
Experience health and health creation each spare moment.
It is easy to do. It is easy not to do.
Select deliberately in all that you do. Become a master of selection.
Victims are the norm! We are taught to be victims. All societies want victims as the majority.
Victims do not Select.
Sacrifice your comfort (staying and doing the same).
Make a plan and be disciplined.
Living is learning, go to courses, learn more. Seek out and search.
Break out of your mould and expand.
Learn from nature, spend time in nature, harmonize with nature.
Exercise, do, be, play, live, accept the inevitability of what you’re becoming.
Pay the price or pay the price for not paying the price.
